Reverse wire behind kick panel

I'm installing a Pioneer Avic Nav. head unit in a 96' Avy. However I can't locate the reverse wire behind the kick panel. I've installed two of these on Camry wagons, one a 5S-FE engine, and the other a 1MZ-FE. The wire was the same color (red w/black stripe) in the same spot for both, but the Avy panel seems slightly altered. Any idea on the location and color would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure it is red with a black stripe. (red and green stripe lead to the switch) And the connection(IP3) is somewhere behind the glove-box, and also routes though the driver side kick panel in another connector (IJ1). Still Red with black stripe.

I assume its for a backup camera?

You know I actually made the connection to the red w/black stripe at the driver's side kick panel (IJ1). When my blinkers didn't work made me think maybe was wrong. So I'll disconnect to see if it's a fix.

Technically it's for the backup camera, but since I don't have one yet I may just try grounding to simplify install.

Oops! Realized that I hadn't put the dash panel on with the hazard plug during my test drive. Didn't run into this with the Camrys because of the different dash trim.

The red with black stripe wire behind the kick panel is the reverse.

You don't even need to connect the reverse wire at all as far as i know(it'll probably save you time later on if you add a camera though). The only non-radio harness wire that was required on my avic f-700 was the parking brake(which I bypassed because setting your parking brake to type in a GPS address is just ridiculous, especially in a A/T)
