Anyone notice on the bumper on the back that there is a black like layer to protect the colored bumper for putting things in and out of the back? Well it just does not cover the back lip completely and after purchasing a new trampoline in a box and sliding it out it scuffed the back bumper and removed paint. Does anyone know of a different plate to have on the back bumper to prevent paint damage in the future?

Yes toyota has a extended blktop bumper cover BP30 or a BP3 this extends the cover to the outside edge of bumper

On the order from dealer rear bumper protector BP30 I belive
price was 89.00$
window sticker showed BP3 Bumper protector 129.00$
no other information.

Just went to the 2 closest toyota dealers to my house and they have no idea how to get the part or anything like it. They couldnt find it at all in their systems.

For dealer installed options my sticker has this 1-800-301-6859
only part refrance is BP3 or BP30
dealer looked it up under options/acc it showed a picture to my sales person when truck was ordered and this was installed at point of entry (jax. Fla.)

I've been trying to find this for while but my dealer here didn't know there's such thing for the 08 Highlander.

Maybe I am missing something but when I looked at my bumper it looks like the factory black part is not removable and is part of the bumper which means this bumper protector would install over the existing one.
We still haven't had the question answered on how the new one gets installed.
